Full Height shutters are the most common type of installation we make at Shuttercraft Birmingham. The classic single panel design covers the window from top to bottom while multiple panels can be hinged if necessary to cover the window width. For taller windows a midrail can be incorporated into the frame for added privacy and stability. This also enables the louvres either side of the midrail to be operated independently, giving greater control of light levels and privacy.

When closed, Tier on Tier shutters look similar to Full Height, but they actually consist of different shutter frames hinged on top of one another. This gives greater flexibility, enabling one set of panels to be completely open with the others closed. The smaller, lighter frames also allow a greater range of substrates to be used as there is less pressure on the shutter frames.

Bay Windows are a classic British design and familiar features on many of Birmingham’s town houses, particularly Victorian and early twentieth century builds.
