1 Who We Are

Submit Local Business is an online directory where businesses list themselves and visitors find them by category and city. We run it from Suchindram, Kanyakumari, in Tamil Nadu, India.

2 What We Collect, And Why

When you create an account, we ask for your name and email address, plus the login details you choose. We need these to set up your account and to contact you about it.

When you list a business, we collect the details you enter: your website and the information that appears on your listing, such as the business name, category, location, description and logo. This is what makes your listing possible.

When you write a review, we collect the review itself. You don't need an account to leave one, and giving your name is optional.

When you contact us, we keep your message and your email address so we can answer you.

When you pay for a listing, PayPal handles the payment. We never see or store your card or bank details. PayPal only tells us that the payment went through.

When you simply visit the site, we automatically receive basic technical information, such as your IP address, browser, device and the pages you open. More on that under cookies below.

3 What We Use It For

Mostly for running the site. We use your information to set up and manage your account, publish your listing, show reviews, take payments, reply to your messages, and send you the emails described below. We also use basic usage data to understand how the site is being used, fix problems, and keep it secure. We may keep or share information when the law requires it.

4 What Becomes Public

Listings and reviews are public. Anyone can read them, and search engines may pick them up. So please don't put anything in a listing or review that you wouldn't want strangers to see.

5 The Emails We Send

Only the useful ones: confirmations when you register or list a business, and updates when a review is posted. We don't send newsletters or promotional emails.

6 Cookies & Google Tag Manager

We use Google Tag Manager to manage the tracking and measurement tools on our site. Those tools can set cookies and collect details like the pages you view, your device and your approximate location. Google handles that data under its own privacy policy. You can block or clear cookies in your browser settings at any time. Some parts of the site may stop working properly if you do.

7 Who Sees Your Information

We don't sell your information, and we don't hand it to anyone for their own marketing. It reaches only a few parties, and only to the extent needed:

• PayPal, to process payments.
• Google, through Google Tag Manager.
• Our hosting and email providers, who can use your data only to provide their service to us.
• Authorities, if the law requires us to or if we need to protect our rights and our users.

We are based in India, but our servers and service providers may be in other countries. That means your information can be processed outside the country you live in. When the law requires it, we put proper safeguards in place for these transfers.

9 How Long We Keep It

We keep your information while your account or listing is active. After that, we hold on to it only as long as we need to for legal, accounting and security reasons. You can ask us to delete your account and listing whenever you like.

10 How We Protect It

We take sensible technical and organisational steps to keep your information safe. No website can promise perfect security, but we take it seriously.

11 Your Rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Depending on your location, you may also be able to object to or restrict certain uses, get a copy of your data in a portable format, withdraw your consent, or complain to your local data protection authority.

12 Children

Submit Local Business is not made for children. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13 (or under 16 where local law says so). If you think a child has shared details with us, tell us and we'll delete them.

13 Links to Other Sites

Some listings and reviews link to websites we don't own or run. We can't control their content or how they handle your data, so it's worth reading their privacy policies too.

14 If This Policy Changes

We may update this page from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will always show the latest version. For big changes, we'll let you know by email or with a notice on the site.
