Uptown Taxi was co-founded by two young local entrepreneurs from Victoria. Before Uptown Taxi’s arrival, wait times for van taxis in Greater Victoria exceeded 45 mins to an hour. Uptown Taxi was introduced to provide a solution for locals who had been forced to take two taxis or wait an hour for a van taxi to arrive.
Uptown Taxi has introduced the first specialized fleet of it’s kind in Greater Victoria. All vehicles are equipped with seating for a minimum of 6 passengers. Our Toyota Highlander Hybrid's and minivans can fit 6 passengers for the same price as a regular sedan taxi. We will be soon introducing fuel-efficient wheelchair accessible van taxis to help address the demand from those with mobility issues.
