Many families opt out of a pool in their yard for safety concerns when it comes to their children. Knapp Bros. Pool Service Inc. takes these concerns seriously, which is why we recommend all families owning a pool safety cover. Safety covers are meant to prevent any accidental falls or drowning. Additionally, they actually help keep your pool cleaner! It really is the smartest choice! There are two major types of safety covers; mesh safety covers and solid safety covers. Mesh safety covers are lighter and inexpensive but dry quickly.
They require a pump and are unable to block all sunlight, which in turn may allow for some algae growth. Solid safety covers are heavier, dry slowly, and are more expensive. They can be purchased with or without a pump-with a pump they block out 100% of contaminants. All safety covers have their advantages and disadvantages and we are here to help you decide which is the right choice for you.
Another major service we provide is pool openings and closings. A Pool Opening consists of Removal of cover, fold and place in your storage area, installing ladders, diving board, handrail, lights, etc., reassemble filter and pumps, shock pool and start up your system. A pool closing consists of removal of ladders & handrails & place in your storage area, winterize filter and pump(s) by removing filter and pump plugs and baskets, remove jets and return fittings, blow out lines and plug lines with plugs, shock pool and add winter algaecide for chlorine pools only, and cover pool with pool cover.
