As a small family business we take great pride in offering a fully equipped garage that will meet all your motoring needs with a fast professional friendly service.
We don't advertise as we rely on doing our best, hoping for repeat custom and recommendations . We understand how important it is to build a trusting relationship between ourselves and our customers and have built our business by being honest and fair. This has worked for over 35 years as we are still looking after many original customers and their family cars.
The business started in1973 when Geoff Reed then service manager at Mill garage (Volkswagen) joined Eric Batchelor at our present site and started trading as E Batchelor & partner. The business steadily grew becoming a MOT Testing Station until Eric retired in1983.
As Mr. Batchelor had retired the business was renamed to Reed's Garage. Geoff & his wife Lynn kept moving the business forward and in 1985 their son Philip left school and joined his parents in the family business followed by Amanda (Geoff's oldest daughter)5 years later.
Today Philip is running the family business as Geoff & Lynn retired in 2007, but is committed to carry on in his parents footsteps. The car of today is totally different from the car of 1973, as for the car of tomorrow (well who knows) but by continually investing in training and on the latest equipment for the ever changing motor car, we should be around for Philip's two sons starting approx 2019.
