Additional Information

Warm greetings during this Chinese New Year, the Year of the Fire Monkey – we wish you all prosperity and good health! If you are looking for a place to celebrate there will be numerous activities in the heart of the city all week. This list from Chinatown Adelaide has some great ideas about how you can get out and make the most of these festivities.

In addition to the vibrant Chinese New Year celebrations, Adelaide is the place to be in February. If you live in Adelaide, you’ve no doubt heard of “Mad March”. March is a huge month of frivolity and fun in our city, with festivals, sporting events, music, art and other entertainment colliding in the calendar.

However, “Frenetic February”, is giving Mad March a run for its money when it comes to the number of cool events and activities happening around Adelaide. For wine lovers, the National Wine Centre will be holding masterclasses during its regular Uncorked series. A perfect way to end the week with a Friday knock-off, but with a bit of wine education thrown in!

Product and Services

One of the must dos in Adelaide is to visit the iconic Adelaide Central Market. Before you spend your morning sampling some of the finest and freshest food in the world at the markets, why not start your day with a delicious breakfast from one of the many cafes and restaurants there.

With 20 years of history, Big Table is one of the best breakfast spots in the Central Market, with their tables and bar side stools hot property on a weekday morning! Everything is made fresh every day – their amazing apple crumble French toast with chai cream is a crowd pleaser. Amazing food, great coffee and service that goes above and beyond expectation is a reason why people keep coming back.

Zuma Café is another great spot for brekky, with pleasant staff, cheery décor and fantastic food. Zuma offer a full range of cooked breakfasts and are very popular on Saturdays, so you may need to get in early and beat the rush.Zed’s Café is where you’ll find one of Adelaide’s best cups of coffee accompanied with delicious treats such as their lemon tart.

Reality TV fans may remember Poh-Ling Yeow from her success in Masterchef (she was runner up in the first season, in 2009). Poh has opened her own café in the heart of the Adelaide Central Market. Jamface by Poh serves a delicious breakfast with a difference. Radish, cucumber, avocado and tabasco are not your everyday breakfast choices but the flavour combinations are brilliant and unusual. The service here is super friendly and the staff are always up for a good yarn.
