Abbey Rents is a party and event hire company based in Underwood, Brisbane. We are a family owned business which has been operating since 1967. We provide hire equipment for all events, from the backyard party, for special occasions, birthdays and weddings and for corporate functions. We deliver to all suburbs of Brisbane and surrounding shires. Our staff is experienced in the hire industry and will provide advice and solutions for all your hire requirements.
Our extensive range of hire equipment is continually maintained and upgraded to ensure a successful and stress free event for our customer. We also sell a range of balloons, birthday and occasion banners, ceiling decorations, disposable plastic tableware and tablecloths, all of which decorate your venue in the theme of your function.

We have a showroom full of party decorations to buy that will complement your event. We stock a large range of helium balloons, birthday banners and birthday balloons, hanging decorations, disposable plastic tableware and rolls of paper and plastic tablecloths.
If you are having a party with a Hollywood theme , Rock N Roll theme, Disco theme, even a Pirate theme or Fairy party, we have plenty of fabulous decorations to help create a wonderful atmosphere. Or for special occasions like Baby Showers, Anniversaries, Weddings, Christenings and all the ages of birthdays we have many decoratins suitable to enhance your function.
Product and Services
The prices list below gives the total cost of cartage by our delivery truck to and from your premises. For example, if you live at Acacia Ridge, the delivery and pick up would be a total amount of $49.00. Not $49.00 each way. If your suburb is not listed below, please contact us for cartage fee.
The price of delivery is based on weekday deliveries anytime between 8.30am to 4pm. We cannot guarantee a specific time. However, many delays can happen throughout the day, therefore we will deliver until we are finished our runs. Deliveries on weekend and public holidays may be available depending on staff availability. Weekend and public holiday deliveries would incur an extra fee.
We return to collect the hire on the Monday after the weekend, so please remember to leave all hire accessible if you are not going to be home. An extra cartage fee would be charged if we had to return to collect items that you did not leave accessible.
Our fees are for delivery to an accessible ground floor area. If you require special area to be delivered please discuss your requirements when booking so we can advise the extra fee incurred.
In order to keep our cartage fees to a minimum, we do not just do one delivery per area. Our trucks can load a number of orders for a similar area, therefore, we do not give definite times for delivery to your venue.
On day of delivery there are two options:- (1) If invoice paid in full and if we can have access to a secure area from the road, we can leave the hire and no-one has to be home. (2) If there are dogs, or locked gates or other reasons why someone has to be home to receive the hire, you have to be available from 8.30am - 4pm or later depending on delays, due to traffic for example.
When placing an order online, the total hire amount does not include the delivery charge. The delivery charge has to be manually added to the total hire costs and can be advised by email or over the telephone.
