Additional Information

When you are considering entering into any contract, but especially one related to your business, it is important that you take the time to have the contract reviewed by an attorney before signing. This can include leases, contracts with vendors, employment contracts, non-compete agreements among others. One of the things that I enjoy most in my practice is working with parents who are seeking to adopt children. I have worked with parents who are adopting children from the United States as well as internationally and have even worked on interstate adoptions.

Families often find themselves facing a wide range of issues where legal help is needed. These legal issues can be complex and emotionally charged. As a result, it is essential to have an experienced attorney that you can trust. I am that attorney.

In my practice, I have experience helping clients throughout southeastern Pennsylvania including Berks, Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Lancaster, Montgomery and Philadelphia counties navigate through those legal issues.

When you are considering entering into any contract, but especially one related to your business, it is important that you take the time to have the contract reviewed by an attorney before signing. This can include leases, contracts with vendors, employment contracts, non-compete agreements among others.

The law surrounding contracts is very strict. All the terms of the contract must be included within the text of the contract. Any obligations that are not included in the contract may not be enforceable even if you have an oral agreement outside of the contract. Additionally, a well worded contract can make it easier for you to enforce the terms of the contract if the other party does not do what they are supposed to do.

It is safe to say that the cost of having the contract reviewed by an attorney before signing to make sure that you are protected is minimal compared to the costs that you incur trying to fix a problem with the contract in the future. If you have a contract or any other legal document for your business, please give me a call to schedule an appointment to review the document.

Hopefully you will never need an attorney to represent you and your business in court. However, it is good to be prepared. The first thing to remember is that if you get papers saying that you or your business are being sued, contact an attorney immediately. Do Not Wait. There are strict time limits within which you must respond to the Complaint. If you do not respond on time, a default judgment may be entered.

If you or your business has been sued, please contact me to schedule an appointment to review the Complaint and talk about the best ways to defend against the lawsuit and obtain the most favorable result.

You may also find yourself in a position where you may need to file a lawsuit to enforce your rights. I would be glad to schedule an appointment with you to talk about the situation and the options that you have.

Product and Services

Legal representation for families and businesses, Starting A New Business, Legal representation for real estate and zoning, Legal representation for divorce and separation, Estate Planning and Administration.

Once you have decided that you are going to set up a new business in Pennsylvania, there are many things that you will have to consider/take care of. One of these is whether or not to incorporate your business. Generally, I always advise my clients to incorporate their business rather than rely solely on a fictitious name. The question then is deciding what form the business should take. There are several options including LLC and S Corp among other things. When we meet to talk about your new business we will discuss the benefits or each of these forms and which will work best for you.

Additionally, when setting up your business you will need to choose a name for the business and obtain an tax ID no. known as an EIN (employer Identification Number). You will need the EIN when you go to open a bank account for your business. You can apply for the EIN at the IRS website. Please contact me to schedule an appointment to discuss these and other questions you may have about setting up your new business.

One of the things that I enjoy most in my practice is working with parents who are seeking to adopt children. I have worked with parents who are adopting children from the United States as well as internationally and have even worked on interstate adoptions.

One of the most important parts of the adoption process is to ensure that all of the details are taken care of. Too often we see stories in the paper of adoptions being challenged because some detail was overlooked, whether it was a parent not receiving proper notification, or some paperwork not being completed correctly.

It is very important to have the help of an experienced adoption attorney who can make sure that all the “T’s” are dotted and the “I’s” crossed and your adoption goes smoothly. If you are considering adopting a child, I would be glad to meet with you to answer any questions that you may have and to represent you through the process.

If you suffer from a disability or a medical condition that prevents you from being able to work, you may be eligible for disability benefits. This could be long term disability if you had that benefit through your work or Social Security Disability benefits. Not everyone will qualify for these benefits. Generally, you must be able to show that you are completely disabled and unable to work at least for a period of time.If you think that you are disabled and are unable to work, I would be glad to talk with you to see what benefits you may be entitled to.
