Froscold was established in 1977 by directors Phil Suffler and Jeff Pickstock. They had worked together as air conditioning & refrigeration engineers and decided to pool their skills and experience of the air conditioning & refrigeration industry when the opportunity arose.
Froscold now operates on a national basis, servicing the requirements of many group clients with operations across the UK.
Air Conditioning Design
We work with specifiers - architects and consulting engineers in the design of air conditioning systems for new build.
Service & Maintenance Contracts
Our business was originally based on service work and is a core activity for Froscold. The quality of our service work consistently wins us new contracts through repeat business and customer referral.
We offer preventive maintenance contracts tailored to the requirements of your equipment. A number of manufacturers will offer a 3 year extended warranty if backed by an annual maintenance agreement. We also provide 24 hour, 365 days a year call out cover.
Health & safety
All of our engineers are certified to deal with HCFCs and other refrigerants. We also work to the Construction Design & Management regulations.

Bar, Cellar and Restaurant Refrigeration Equipment
We have developed a very strong position in the installation and servicing of bar and cellar equipment for the licensed trade. As approved contractors we service the refrigeration requirements of JW Lees and Hartleys breweries and the Punch and Spirit groups across the North West.
For the Spirit Group we have completed recent cellar cooling equipment installations in their premises in Huddersfield, Liverpool, Preston, Chester, Warrington, Stockport, Chester, Southport and Blackpool.
We service and provide bar equipment to numerous free trade outlets for customers such as Carlsberg, including working mens clubs, social clubs, the Royal British Legion and the Liverpool Arch Diocese. We also supply and service bottle cooling cabinets, ice making machines and cellar cooling for off licences such as Bargain Booze.
Froscold supply rail station refrigeration requirements to Rail Gormet and install and service refrigeration and ice machines for Compass Group's contract with Virgin Rail.
Froscold are a main distributor for Gamko refrigeration products.
