Our team consists of five highly experienced engineers with over one hundred years of hands on experience between them! There is Dale (23 Years experience) Paul (26 Years) Dean (17 Years) Alan (37 Years) and Chad (3 years) We offer a first class service and are always aware that you want a safe and reliable repair or service for your car at a fair price. Roger Sullivan-Webb started Air Cooled Engineering on Horspath Industrial Estate in 1976 after leaving the then existing Salters Citroen dealership. Initially specialising in French and German vehicles he was accompanied by his friend Chris Burbidge who had worked in a VW/Audi franchise. Customers began to realise that, rather than being just a source of income, they were actually being looked after by people who loved the mechanical side of the job and only advised to have the work that needed to be done. Because of this their customer base grew very quickly and Chris eventually started up his own garage Autotecnics. We will always show you what the problem is! In 1990 after leaving school, his son Dale joined the company and, in addition to learning the mechanical side of the job, he also learnt to treat customers as friends as well as taking pride in his work. After 4 years at college and gaining experience in servicing and repairing all types of vehicles, Dale was then in a position to help Air Cooled Engineering look after the vehicles of those now very long standing customers. This customer base kept growing and in 2003 Roger retired with the comfort of knowing that his customers would continue to be treated with the same attitude and respect as he had. The addition of a MOT bay along with investment in the latest diagnostic equipment ensured that servicing and repairs could be undertaken to all the latest makes and models of vehicles. To this day many of the customers that come to Air Cooled Engineering are either original customers from when the company first started or are their children, family or friends. Air Cooled Engineering has also gained respect from breakdown services such as the AA and RAC who recommend their customers in the Oxford area to us without the worry that they may be ripped off or that poor work would be carried out. Air Cooled Engineering is now a RAC recommended repairer and a member of the motor codes industry.
