Additional Information
My core offering is essential driver training in Cork. That’s what the Road Safety Authority requires before a learner can do their licence test. I also do advanced training like motorway skills and how to drive safely at night. Over and above that, I am a great source of general information including when to book the test, which videos to watch and so on.
At a deeper, more serious level, I believe I have a mission. This is ensuring my youngsters stay out of trouble on the roads. If I can contribute to them living happy lives and raising their own kids I will be exceptionally happy. Who knows, one of them may even sponsor their own child at my Avey School of Motoring. Now that would be something!

Let’s look behind the government’s assertion that everybody needs EDT to the deeper-seated reason why they say so. Studies of Irish road accident statistics show that inexperienced young drivers are most likely to get mixed up in collisions, and that’s as true in Carrigaline, Cork where I have my driving school as anywhere else.
Now I’m not suggesting for a moment that youngsters are always to blame before you shoot my head off. I am simply saying that kids who completed their EDT have a better chance of avoiding accidents by taking the corrective actions that I teach on my course.
