Consultation
Consultation can begin with a service provider’s first intentions of accreditation, or to address CARF recommendations received on a previous survey. PowderHorn consulting offers a telephonic or even in-person review to assist in determining your organizational readiness for completing the “Intent to Survey” or wherever your agency is in the accreditation process. We will work with your organization throughout the process of assessment, policies and procedures development, technical assistance, program and administrative documentation review and other details of preparedness. Finally, PowderHorn can conduct a comprehensive onsite Mock Survey to determine possible opportunities for improvement in conformance to CARF standards.
Mock Survey
A mock survey is an excellent opportunity for an agency to take a fresh look at policies and procedures, quality assurance, accessibility, information technology, health and safety, and documentation for all of the above. With the results, the organization can make adaptations to be more prepared for a successful CARF accreditation survey.
Documentation Readiness
Documentation is a critical step in the health and human services realm to protect persons served and the agency serving them. Documents for program areas, including medication management and transition/discharge, as well as forms for the administrative arena, including a Diversity Survey and a Critical Incident Report are required for conforming to CARF standards.
PowderHorn Consulting has developed some of the best policy and procedure documents, quality assurance processes, corporate compliance programs, and performance-management measurement instruments in the behavioral health industry. We customize any of these documents to meet the specific needs of an agency.
