We set this page up primarily to give you quick and easy access to quotes of several insurance company's products based solely on three basic personal information namely, your age, gender, and your smoking status. When you submit these information you will get a comparison results of several insurance company's quotes, and sometimes their ratings. Most if not all are Canadian insurance companies. You might even be familiar with some of them.
These are the kind of questions we hear everyday from our clients. And we are going to answer them for you so that you understand not only the different quotes provided but also the application process. When you get a quote on an insurance product such as Term 10, coverage of $250,000 and a premium of $30.00 a month based on your age, gender and smoking status, it means very little by itself. It is just a quote!
For insurance plans that do require medical underwriting, you might have to do a medical or perhaps not. And based on your age, the amount of insurance you're seeking and any medical conditions you might have, the premium quoted here might change. In a nutshell, you will not know for sure the exact premium you will pay until after all underwriting requirements whether medical or otherwise are met.
In addition, not all insurance companies underwriting requirements and procedures are the same. For instance, let's say you need $250,000, Term 20: insurance company A might quote you $25.00 a month with blood and urine tests as medical requirement, however insurance company B might quote you $26.45 a month with just urine test. We just want to stress the fact that when you get a quote, it is just a quote. Use it as a guidance.
What we suggest you do is that when you request a quote choose Regular in the Health Class box. The Preferred or the Preferred Plus classes are determined after completing the full underwriting process. You will get the preferred class rate if you're healthy.
An individual who loves his or her family and seeking the right type of life insurance policy has two options when it comes to applying for life insurance policy. Apply for medically underwritten policies that usually require a full medical underwriting such as a doctor’s report, blood & urine tests. Insurance companies base their medical requirements based on the amount of insurance you need, your age, medical history and type of insurance policy.
There are two ways you can acquire critical illness insurance. One is through an application online here where there is no medical exam required and that you must answer three basic health questions. If you answer them no, you can apply for up to $75,000 in coverage for flexible and affordable premium and your application can be approved within 48 hours. However, if you cannot qualify for the no medical CI insurance or you need more than $75,000 of coverage, then you can apply for the one that requires medical underwriting. It provides protection for 22 different illnesses and conditions.
