The company developed into a fully multi-disciplined mechanical services HEVAC contractor, considered to be amongst the most reputable in the area.
We employ some fifteen engineering staff and thirty five direct site operatives. As commitments demand we are able to call upon additional approved sub contract operatives. We have furnished trusting relationships with a number of clients whereby projects are negotiated or partnered without competition.
Energy conservation is now at the forefront of all quality building projects, whereby accommodating suitable mechanical service is paramount to the overall success of a project, and our futures. We have been involved with the design and development of energy conservation features since early conception of associated building regulations. Many of our projects have incorporate one or several of the following features: natural ventilation systems, utilising automated windows, louvres, air shafts and roof terminals. Solar / gas fired hot water systems. Heat pumps systems including ground, water, and air source systems, Rainwater harvesting and grey water systems, Condensing and bio-mass boilers, CHP units, VRV heat pump air conditioning, Thermal simulation modelling.
In conjunction with sophisticated energy monitoring control systems, and coordination with other trades we are able to exceed building regulation, and BREEAM guidelines for environmentally friendly buildings.

Additional Information
Engineering teams are selected to suit individual projects. We recognise the difference between an occupied hospital ward refurbishing, and a new fast track supermarket installation. Engineering teams consisting of a project manager, contracts engineer, draughtsman, foreman, and installation operatives. The project manager is responsible for ensuring the services provided by the company meets with the high standards expected from our clients.
The contract engineer carries out engineering and management processes. Duties include; site safety; procurement; programming; allocation of labour; supervision; commissioning and testing; Full liaise with client’s representatives. Projects are subject to continued review at our monthly management meetings, whereby installation procedures may adapted to suit varying needs. We provide a full mechanical HEVAC design and build service, and operate a dedicated team equipped with the latest software technology.
We may assist in obtaining project compliance with the latest building regulations, BREEAM recommendations and energy conservation measures. Designs are undertaken from an initial architectural brief, site survey, or fully detailed scheme. An early appointment permits us to recommend and incorporate energy saving, sustainable features within the initial building concept. On this basis we ensure an environmentally low energy scheme is produced to suit client specific requirements and budget constraints.
We pride ourselves on producing a quality design package including detailed design data, equipment schedules, coordinated drawings, builderswork requirements, and building regulation submittals. All types of mechanical services projects are undertaken on a pre-designed or design and build basis. Projects may range from a £15k commercial boiler replacement to a £2.6m Michelin Fine Dining hotel in the New Forest. We carry out new installations such as a Power Station in Marchwood, air conditioned medical research offices in Southampton General Hospital, or a seven storey Ramada Hotel in Bournemouth.
Refurbishment projects are undertaken within existing premises, where we are well conversed in working within occupied premises such as hospitals, institutions, doctor’s surgeries and retirement homes. Such projects necessitate understanding and sensitivity in carrying out tasks around the ever changing need of the staff and patients. We have completed demanding projects within local hospitals including; Southampton General; Princess Ann Maternity; St James psychiatric, Portsmouth; Frimley Park, Camberley; St Mary’s IOW; and Bournemouth General.
We have also refurbished Listed or English Heritage buildings such as Queen Victoria’s Osborne House on the Isle of Wight and Charter’s Art Deco Luxury Apartments in Sunninghill, Ascot. We are well known for our design and development works for local county councils, providing services within new schools, colleges, sports centres, swimming pools and housing centres. Such projects are often carried out on local framework agreements.
